Cicadatra persica Kirkaldy 1909

Abstract

Cicadatra persica Kirkaldy, 1909. New record. Cicada lineola (nec von Schrank) Hagen 1856: 66. Cicadatra persica Kirkaldy 1909: 391. Type locality. Syria and Persia. Specimens were collected from Darrora, Upper Dir; Mingora Swat, N.W.F.P, Pakistan on 28.VI.2008 and 22.VI.2008. Identification was confirmed by F. Mozaffarian. Remarks. The species has been reported from Italy, Sicily, Turkey, Israel, Syria, Georgia, USSR, Transcaucasia, and Iran (Metcalf 1963b; Dlabola 1981; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Mirzayans 1995; Mozaffarian & Sanborn 2010).
