Diapetimorpha amoena Cresson 1865

Abstract

Diapetimorpha amoena (Cresson, 1865) Hemiteles amoenus Cresson, 1865: 23. Diapetimorpha amoena (Cresson, 1865). Assigned by Townes and Townes (1966). Holotype Ƥ (IES # 308) lacking wings and antennae and glued face down on a card. Dusona tibiator (Cresson, 1865) Campoplex tibiator Cresson, 1865: 41. Dusona tibiator (Cresson, 1865). Assigned by Townes and Townes (1966). Holotype Ƥ (IES # 344) in good condition. It is a rather typical species of Neotropical Dusona, although it is distinctive in having most of the mesosoma reddish-brown with the scutellum yellow and strongly convex. The head is black with the clypeus and mandibles reddish-brown, and the epicnemial carina is strongly raised into a point medioventrally.
