Genus Fannia Robineau-Desvoidy Diagnosis: wing with second anal vein strongly curved, so as to intersect extension of first anal vein well before margin of wing (see Wendt & Carvalho 2007: fig. 16); bacilliform process usually present (see Wendt & Carvalho 2009: fig. 6); lower orbital seta usually absent in males; first presutural dorsocentral seta over half as long as the second and central katepisternal seta absent (Dominguez 2007).
