Lixus baculiformis Petri, 1904 Lixus baculiformis Petri, 1904: 71 Current status: Lixus baculiformis Petri, 1904 is a junior synonym of L. incanescens Boheman, 1835. Type. In Reitter’s collection at HNHM, is a male (remounted and aedeagus dissected probably by Smrecyński, last three ventrites mounted on a card, right hind tarsus beyond segment 2, left middle and hind tarsus beyond segment 3 missing) bearing the handwritten labels: “Caucasus”, “ Lixus baculiformis n. sp. Petri”, “ Holotypus, 1904, Lixus baculiformis Petri ” red brimmed museum label, “ Lixus incanescens Boh., Smrecyński det. 1967”, and fitting the description with type locality as Caucasus. It is here designated as lectotype with “ Lectotypus, 3, Lixus baculiformis Petri., Gültekin des. 2008”, “ Lixus incanescens Boh. Gültekin det. 2008”. Remarks. Smreczyński (1968) synonymized Lixus baculiformis with Lixus incanescens.
