During a comparison of Platyptilia periacta Meyrick, 1910 and Platyptilia claripicta Fletcher, 1910 with P. f a r f are l l a, Zeller, 1867 which was based on external characters and genitalia structure, we concluded that Platyptilia periacta and Platyptilia claripicta are synonyms of P. farfarella. New for Malawi.
