Genus Mucha Ozerov, 1992 Mucha Ozerov, 1992: 147. Type-species: Mucha tzokotucha Ozerov, 1992, by original designation. Diagnosis. Postgena wide; face with well-developed facial carina between antennae. Flagellomere elongated; arista plumose (mostly on dorsal side, except Mucha plumosa Ozerov with short rays on ventral side of arista). 1 oc, 1 vti, 1 vte, 1 pvt, or vestigial; anal vein 8 times as long as width of bm cell; alula not developed, with microtrichiae marginally. Abdominal syntergite 1+2 with one pair of strong setae.
