Abstract

Dendrolaelaps (Foveodendrolaelaps) Hirschmann & Wiśniewski, 1982 Dendrolaelaps (Foveodendrolaelaps) Hirschmann & Wiśniewski, 1982: 118. Type species: Digamasellus foveolatus Leitner, 1949, by original designation. Diagnosis. Movable cheliceral digit with four teeth in addition to the apical tooth; seta s2 on peritrematic shield or on soft cuticle along lateral margins of podonotal shield; setae r2 and r3 on peritrematic shield; seta r3 as long as or slightly longer than j5; seta Z3 1–4.5 times as long as j5; seta S5 1.5 –7 times as long as j5; seta Z5 1.5–5 times as long as j5; other idiosomal dorsal setae around as long as j5. Adult female with two central V-shaped incisions in anterior margin of opisthonotal shield, with or without transverse covering plates; peritreme extending anteriorly to level between z1 and s1; soft cuticle between podonotal shield and peritrematic shield extending anteriorly to level of s1 or z2, except D. brevipiloides which has peritreme only forward to level of s3-r3. Adult male with or without V-shaped incisions in anterior margin of opisthonotal shield, without transverse covering plates; with or without deep, oblique incision in anterior margin of ventrianal shield between Zv1 and Jv1.
