Myrmozercon minor (Sellnick, 1941) Myrmonyssus minor Sellnick, 1941: 225. Diagnosis. Body length 418–429; dorsal shield truncate posteriorly, with approximately 31 pairs of setae; anterior pair (j1) of setae and posterior body setae longer than other body setae. Sternal shield an inverted U-shape. Host: Crematogaster impressa Emery. Remarks. Sellnick (1941) described this species as being very similar to M. eidmanni, so we presume it has an anal shield with anterolateral extensions, a peritreme extending to mid-coxa II, and very short legs. It is distinguished by its size (length 418–429 compared to 561 for M. eidmanni) and having fewer long posterior dorsal setae. Both species occur on the same host, Crematogaster impressa.
