Rhaphigaster nebulosa Poda 1761

Abstract

Rhaphigaster nebulosa (Poda 1761) (Figure 1) Spermathecal bulb is oblong shaped and sclerotized (Fig. 1.a). Surface of the bulb is covered with multiple pores (Figs. 1.b,c). Pumping region is short and scleritized at both ends. Spermatheca has two pumping flanges (distal and proximal) (Figs. 1.b,d,e), both of which are plate shaped and diameter of the distal flange is wider than the proximal. The length of the distal spermathecal duct one fourth and distal spermathecal duct is convoluted (Figs. 1.a,e). Spermathecal dilation with thin striated muscular walls medially and with sclerotized rod (Figs. 1.a,f,g). Proximal spermathecal duct is very sclerotized and it is close to the opening into the vagina (Figs. 1.ı,i). There are two ring sclerites one at each side of the genital chamber (Fig. 1.a).
