8. Cothornobata pugnoa sp. nov. (Fig. 10) Diagnosis. Fore tibia pale yellow except base blackish-brown, fore tarsus pale yellow. Median occipital sclerite with a small dark yellow spot at middle. Genital fork with basal tubercle broad and shallow, arm 1.7X as long as base and slender basally. Description. Male. Body length 8.5 mm, wing length 6.5 mm. Head mostly subshiny blackish-brown with very thin gray pollinosity. Frontal vitta dark yellow, densely microsetulose, about 2/3 width of frons; lower orbital plate dull pollinose; ocellar triangle black; median occipital sclerite with a small dark yellow spot at middle; lunule orange; face yellow, densely microsetulose; gena light brown, lightly pollinose; clypeus uniformly blackish-brown, shiny. Setae and setulae on head black; two strong fronto-orbital setae, postgena with 1 strong seta at lower margin. Antenna dark yellow; [first flagellomere broken]. Proboscis brownish-yellow with brown apex, setulae brown to black. Palpus yellow, setulae black. Thorax black with pale gray pollinosity, except posterolateral corner of scutum, scutellum and katepisternum brown. Scutellum slightly convex, angled dorsally. Setae on thorax black, setulae blackish; katepisternum with 3 strong setae. Legs mostly yellow, except mid and hind coxae brownish-yellow; fore femur black on apical half, mid and hind femora with black apex; fore tibia pale yellow except base blackish-brown, mid and hind tibiae pale yellow to brown with base and apex darker; fore tarsus pale yellow [mid and hind tarsi broken]. Wing brown with distal and discal bands dark brown; distal band basal to middle of distal section of M1; discal band along M1 and anterior to R4+5, basal to middle of penultimate section of M1 and distal to dm-cu. Bm-cu proximal to CuA2; A1+CuA2 1.7X as long as CuA2; distance between apex of R2+3 and R4+5 0.6X as long as M1 beyond dm-cu (Fig. 10 C). Halter pale yellow with base brownish-yellow. Abdomen mostly blackish-brown, with pale gray pollinosity, tergites 2–6 pale yellow with dense pale gray pollinosity apically. Pleuron uniformly pale gray. Epandrium blackish-brown. Setulae on abdomen blackish-brown to black. Genital fork blackish-brown, with blackish-brown to black setulae; basal tubercle broad and shallow, with a cluster of setulae; arm 1.7X longer than base and slender basally (Fig. 10 D). Pregonite expanded. Postgonite narrow and apically out-turned, without an acute bend (Fig. 10 GH). Female. Unknown. Type material. HOLOTYPE: VIETNAM, Thua Thien Hue Province: Phu Loc District, Bach Ma National Park, 520 m, 4.vi.2012, Xingyue Liu (♂, CAU). Distribution. Oriental: Vietnam (Thua Thien Hue). Remarks. Cothornobata pugnoa is similar to C. paieroi sp. nov. and C. zhangae sp. nov., but differs as follows: fore tarsus pale yellow; median occipital sclerite with a small dark yellow spot at middle; genital fork with basal tubercle broad and rounded; distiphallus shorter than phallapodeme. Etymology. The specific name refers to the fist-like apex of the genital fork.
