Diagnosis. Instantly recognizable by the combination of wide yellow basal band on elytra and smooth intervals II, IV and VI (Fig. 2). Aedeagus as in Fig. 14. Comments. Loc. typ. Cartagena and Almería. Species known from Spain only, but I saw 3 specimens with label “col. Gobert, Marruecos” (MNCN). Two of them are on the same pin with S. soror Rambur, 1837. Perhaps this is just an error with labels. Distribution. Spain (Fig. 12).
