Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, mounted on glass slide pinned together with the specimen, “Holo- \ type” [round label with red border], “3748.” [in Broun’s hand], “Pudding Hill \ 10.12.1912.“ [in Broun’s hand], New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Cyphon \ plumatellus ” [in Broun’s hand], “Holotype \ Cyphon plumatellus \ Broun \ det. T. Nyholm 1981” [in Nyholm’s hand]. Remarks. Broun (1915) studied a single specimen collected on 10.12.1912 by T. Hall from Pudding Hill near Methven. According to Nyholm (2000) this species belongs to an undescribed genus.
