The morphological characters observed in the two male specimens collected agree with the original description given by Gomes et al. (1992), i.e. males without spicular tube; proximal cloacal tube united laterally to distal cloacal tube and cylindrical spicular sheath with spines irregularly distributed. This species was described for O. nigripes from Arvorezinha, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil (Gomes et al. 1992). This is the first record of the genus Trichuris in N. squamipes and T. cf. travassosi for Argentina.
