Abstract

Zeugomutilla spinulosa (André, 1898), comb. nov. (Figs 29, 33) Mutilla spinulosa André 1898: 26, ♀, type locality " Kurrachee [Pakistan, Karachi], Kanara [India, Karnataka], Poona [India, Maharashtra], Cochin [India, Kerala]" [MNHN]; Nonveiller 1995: 33, 115, ♀ (India). Pristomutilla spinulosa: Lelej 2005: 36, ♀ (Pakistan, India: Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala). Diagnosis. Female. Body length 5.5–7.2 mm. Dorsoposterior propodeal border with 8–12 strong teeth, median teeth longer. Surface of pygidial plate with indefinite sculpture in basal half, smooth and shining in apical half. Spots of whitish setae on metasomal tergum 2 small, distance between them 2.0 × their diameter and more. Metasomal terga 3–4 with median widened posterad large spot of whitish setae. Head brown with large reddishbrown spot on frons and vertex; legs brown. Male. Unknown. Material examined. Other material. India: [Karnataka], 15 km N Bangalore, KT, 23–24.vii.1996, (K. Werner & L. Lorenz), 1♀ [MZUF]; [Tamil Nadu], Nedungadu P.O., Tanjore, Dt., 27.iv.1938 (P.S. Nathan & J. Lindemans), 2♀ [RMNH]. Distribution.
