Abstract

Zeugomutilla horni (André, 1907) (Figs 27, 31) Mutilla horni André, 1907: 254, ♀, two syntypes: " Sigiri, Kekirawa " (Sri Lanka) [MNHN, SDEI]; Nonveiller 1995: 33, 115, ♀ (Sri Lanka); Taeger et al. 2005: 233, ♀. Zeugomutilla horni: Lelej, 2005: 37, ♀ (Sri Lanka). Diagnosis. Female. Body length 7.2–8.0 mm. Dorsoposterior propodeal border with median longer blunt tooth and three shorter ones from either side of this. Spots of golden setae on metasomal tergum 2 large, conjugated, posterior border of tergum 2 with fringe of black setae; terga 3–5 with band of golden setae. Head and scape yellowishorange; mesosoma and legs ferruginous. Male. Unknown. Material examined. Sri Lanka: ♀, syntype of Mutilla horni (without head) [SDEI], "Kerikawa / Ceylon / W. Horn / Syntypus / Mutilla Horni nov. sp., ♀ " [Sri Lanka, 7°56′58″N, 80°45′01″E]. Other material. Sri Lanka: Anuradhapura District: Ritigala Natural Reserve, 24–25.ii.1979 (K. Krombein et al.), 1♀. Monaragala District: Angunakolapelessa, 27–28.iii.1981 (K. Krombein et al.), 1♀ [USNM]; India: [Tamil Nadu], Nilgiri Hills, Davala, 3200 ft. [975 m], v.1961 (P. Susai Nathan), 2♀ [RMNH]. Distribution: India (new record) (Tamil Nadu), Sri Lanka (dry zone).
