Family Perlohmanniidae Grandjean, 1954 Perlohmannia Berlese, 1916 · Perlohmannia insignis (Berlese, 1904) * · Original name: Lohmannia insignis Berlese, 1904. · In: Acari nuovi. Manipulus III. Redia, 2, 10–32. · Historical combinations/variations: Perlohmannia (Perlohmannia) insignis (Berlese) Subías, 2004. Irish Reference/s and Habitat/s: Associated with springtails attacking bean roots in a garden (Berlese 1904); in decaying bulbs (Halbert, unpublished notes); also Carpenter, 1904, 1905; Warburton and Pearce 1905; Hewitt 1908 and Hull 1916; all refering to Berlese first record; riparian habitat (unpublished data). Counties: Dublin, Kildare and Mayo. · Perlohmannia dissimilis (Hewitt, 1908) · Original name: Lohmannia insignis dissimilis Hewitt, 1908. · In: On a new phytophagous mite, Lohmannia insignis Berl. var. dissimilis n. var., with notes on other species of economic importance. Memoirs and proceedings of the Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society, vol. 52, Mem. no. 5, 1–10. · Historical combinations/variations: Perlohmannia (Perlohmannia) dissimilis (Hewitt) Subías, 2004.
