Abstract

Anisepyris emeldiri Barbosa & Azevedo, sp. nov. (Figs 24C; 25E; 25G; 25J) Description, male. Body length 3.69 mm. Head with darkish green reflection; mesosoma with darkish green reflection and metapectal-propodeal disc black; wings sub-hyaline; metasoma dark castaneous. Head wide. Flagellomeres short, with dense and short setae. Mandible very narrow and with teeth equally wide. Median clypeal lobe angulate, long; median clypeal carina higher than frons level. Frons coriaceous. Antennal scrobe carinate, but weak. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli small. Vertex convex. Pronotal disc as long as wide, strongly coriaceous, with margin of transverse pronotal carina foveolate; transverse pronotal carina present, incomplete; with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar sulcus narrow. Metapectal-propodeal disc short; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges present; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina present and inconspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea opened; lower fovea opened; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with stigma not developed; Rs&M vein not distinguished. Mesotibia not spinose. Claws trifid. Metasomal segments sparsely setose. Genitalia. Basiparamere shorter than paramere; paramere slender, truncate, with ventral margin convex and dorsal margin straight, sparsely setose; basivolsella with basal inner margin with projection; cuspis with arms short, with basal projection at inner margin, dorsal arm wide; aedeagus basal portion convex and slender, apical portion longer than basal portion and swollen; apodeme slender. This new species differs from A. longimerus by having the mandible narrow with the teeth equally wide; the clypeus angulate with the median clypeal carina higher than frons level; the antennal scrobe carinate; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle acute; the ocelli small; the transverse pronotal carina present and with the posterior margin foveolate; the metapectal-propodeal disc wider than long; the mesopleural suture closed; the paramere as long as the basiparamere, truncate, and sparsely setose; and the basivolsella with the basal inner margin with a projection, whereas A. longimerus has the mandible wide with the lower tooth longer than the others; the clypeus rounded with the median clypeal carina lower than frons level; the antennal scrobe ecarinate; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle forming a right angle; the ocelli large; the transverse pronotal carina absent; the metapectal-propodeal disc longer than wide; the mesopleural suture opened; the paramere club-shaped and glabrous, longer than the basiparamere,; and the basivolsella uniform.
