Type data: Lectotype male (CMNH). Examined. Type locality: Santarém, Brazil. Comments and Diagnosis. Stenosigma testaceum is morphologically similar to S. imitans, but clypeal features distinguish these two species. While specimens of S. imitans have a short clypeus without evident carinae (Fig. 10), specimens of S. testaceum present a longer clypeus with developed teeth with apical carinae (Fig. 14). In addition to the clypeus condition, S. testaceum is easily recognized by its predominantly yellowish body color (Fig. 7); presence of a developed lamella in the pronotal carina (Fig. 17); and the humeral region scarcely developed, without an evident projection (Fig. 24).
