Scrobipalpa remota Povolný, 1972 Records. Povolný 1972: 191. Distribution. Algeria, Israel, North Iran (Povolný 1972: 191; Huemer & Karsholt 2010: 311). Remarks. Scrobipalpa remota was described from five specimens of both sexes (including the holotype) from Iran, and two males from Algeria and Palestine, respectively (Povolný 1972: 192). As shown by Huemer & Karsholt (2010: 115) the male genitalia of S. remota are indistinguishable from those of S. superstes Povolný, 1977, and the occurrence of the former species in Israel / Palestine requires confirmation.
