[Português] Este artigo possui como principal objetivo apresentar a atual viabilidade legal da prática de exploração de icebergs antárticos de acordo com as legislações internacionais vigentes, sendo essas legislações o Acordo de Paris e o Tratado da Antártida. Ao longo deste artigo será demonstrado o histórico da prática de exploração de icebergs, também como a prática é aplicada atualmente e se ela poderia ser legalmente aplicada específicamente na Antártida como os projetos UAE Iceberg Project e o projeto Project Cape Town sugerem. A viabilidade legal da prática de exploração de icebergs antárticos será então demonstrada através de uma análise das legislações que protegem o ambiente antártico, e que influenciam direta ou indiretamente na prática em questão, legislações essas que preservam o meio ambiente em seu ambito internacional através da aceitação das respectivas partes. Sendo possível ressaltar que tal tipo de legislação pode afetar não somente os assinantes como também seus respectivos aliados internacionais. [English] This article has as main objective to present the current legal feasibility of the practice of exploiting Antarctic icebergs in accordance with the current international laws, these laws being the Paris Agreement and the Antarctic Treaty System. Throughout this article, the history of the practice of towing and exploiting icebergs will be demonstrated, as well as how the practice is currently applied and whether it could be legally applied specifically in Antarctica as the UAE Iceberg Project and the Project Cape Town project suggest. The legal feasibility of the practice of exploiting Antarctic icebergs will be demonstrated through an analysis of the laws that protect the Antarctic environment and that directly or indirectly influence the practice already mentioned. It is possible to emphasize that this type of agreements can affect not only the subscribers but also their respective international allies.
