Umgang mit Widerstand bei Migrationseltern in der Frühförderung

Abstract

ie gewinnen wir bildungsungewohnte, psychosozial belastete Eltern mit Migrationshintergrund für eine Zusammenarbeit in der (heilpädagogischen) Frühförderung? Und wie gewinnen wir sie für Interventionen der spezifischen Frühen Bildung, die sich unter anderem an kleine Kinder aus Familien in Armut oder Kinder aus sozial isolierten Migrationsfamilien richtet? Dies wird am Beispiel der Langzeitstudie ZEPPELIN mit dem Förderprogramm «PAT – Mit Eltern Lernen» aufgezeigt. Dazu braucht es nicht nur interkulturelle Kompetenz, sondern auch Strategien des Umgangs mit «schwierigen» Eltern. Das Wichtigste dabei: Widerstand macht am Anfang Sinn und muss – statt pathologisiert – normalisiert werden. Comment amener des parents issus de la migration ayant un niveau de formation modeste et connaissant des problèmes psychosociaux à entrer dans une démarche de prise en charge précoce (avec des mesures de pédagogie spécialisée) en faveur de leurs enfants ? Et comment leur permettre d’accepter des interventions relevant de l’éducation précoce spécifique qui se concentre, de manière sélective, sur certains groupes d’enfants en bas âge de familles vivant dans la précarité ou issues de la migration et isolées socialement ? Ceci est illustré dans le projet ZEPPELIN, basé sur une étude de longue durée et ayant recours à un programme d’encouragement appelé « PAT – Mit Eltern Lernen » (apprendre avec ses parents). Pour y parvenir, il faut disposer de compétences interculturelles, mais aussi connaître des stratégies permettant de savoir comment se comporter avec des parents qui semblent « difficiles ». L’essentiel est de se rappeler qu’il est logique de rencontrer de la résistance au départ, et que cette résistance doit être considérée comme normale plutôt que comme pathologique.
