Abstract

Data for each year is contained in individual .tar files. Each .tar file contains many .xz files, which roughly corresponds to a day's worth of EC2 spot prices for each region. There is usually a bit of overlap between days. Use tar and xz (or pixz) to decompress. See also https://ant.isi.edu/~calvin/data/ec2-spot-price/.

Spot price history for Amazon EC2 instances for various regions collected from 2014 to 2015, and 2017 to 2021.
