Synthesis of some salts of 2,3-dihydroxypyridine and 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine chelates of bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium(IV)

Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal-462 013, India Manuscript received 21 February 2000, revised 8 June 2000, accepted 30 November 2000 A series of [(Cp)2TiL]+X- compound, where X- = I-,Br-, \(ClO_4^-\), \(ZnCl_3^-\), \(CdCl_4^{2-}\), \(HgCl_3^-\) and \(FeCl_4^-\) and HL = 2,3- dihydroxypyridine and 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine, have been synthesized. The studies demonstrate tetrahedral coordination around the titanium atom.
