Abstract

Miconia fleischeriana Steud. in Flora 27: 723. 1844. = Miconia prasina (Sw.) DC. (MELNET, 2012). Tipo (protólogo). – “In Paraguay cum sequente [Miconia repando-crenata] legit beat. Rengger, communicavit Fleischer ”. Holotypus: [PARAGUAY?]: Rengger s.n. (P [Herb. Steudel] n.v.). Colección. – P (Steudel). Origen geográfico. – Steudel atribuye el origen del tipo de Rengger al Paraguay en base a la notoriedad del viaje de este último. En vista de las incertidumbres sobre la proveniencia de las colecciones Rengger, la cuestión de la inclusión o no de Miconia fleischeriana y de su holótipo en la flora del Paraguay será resuelta en el marco de la redacción de la familia para Flora del Paraguay. Este nombre no está mencionado en el Catálogo de las plantas vasculares del Cono Sur ULOAGA & al., 2008).
