Australia (Crosse & Fischer 1865; Tryon 1887; Paetel 1888; Verco 1909; Cotton & Godfrey 1931; Cotton 1932; Cotton 1959; Albano et al. 2019), Australia, Tasmania (Tate & May 1901). Remarks. Three specimens labelled as types of Triphoris pfeifferi in the NHMUK (1870.10.26.126) do not belong to this species (Albano et al. 2019). Marshall (1983) considered this a junior synonym of Triphoris scitula A. Adams, 1854.
