Linsenmaier selected in the type-collection one female specimen from the type locality as the allotype of H. lampadum sorianum bearing the following labels: Spanien Soria 15.–20.VII.1979 leg. Linsenmaier // vorne Allotype ♀ Hedychridium lampadum sorianum Lins. det. Linsenmaier 1979 // Hedychridium insulare mediocrum Lins. det. W. Arens 2009. This specimen cannot be considered as a type, since it was collected after the original description. Linsenmaier (1997: 257) synonymised sorianum Linsenmaier with lampadum Linsenmaier: “Lässt sich nicht immer begrenzen und wird von mir nicht weiter geführt”.
