"Passung" zwischen Migrationsfamilien und Schule

Abstract

Kinder und Jugendliche wachsen in unterschiedlichen Lebenswelten auf, unter anderem in Familie und Schule. Häufig stimmen deren Werte und Ziele nicht überein, was besonders bei innovativen Schulen und traditional orientierten eingewanderten Familien der Fall ist. Heranwachsende sind dann oft mit krassen Widersprüchen konfrontiert und müssen alleine diskrepante Einstellungen und Erwartungen integrieren. Dieses «seelische Grenzgängertum» (Herzka, 1995) wird dort von der Belastung zur Chance, wo Verbindungen zwischen Lebenswelten als Koppelung von Systemen geschaffen werden. Massgeschneiderte Brücken zwischen Schule und Familie erlauben allen Beteiligten, Spannungen zu regulieren und Konflikteskalationen vorzubeugen. Der Autor gibt im 2. Teil des Beitrags konkrete Empfehlungen für die Praxis dazu. Les enfants et les jeunes grandissent souvent dans des milieux ayant des conceptions du monde différentes. Bien souvent, les valeurs et les objectifs de l’école diffèrent de ceux de la famille. Cette situation est particulièrement fréquente lorsque les écoles, plus novatrices, font face à des familles immigrées ayant des valeurs traditionnelles. Ces jeunes en devenir sont alors confrontés à de fortes disparités et doivent intégrer seul-e-s des attentes et des visions divergentes. Ce «voyage de l'âme aux frontières» (Herzka, 1995) n'est plus un poids mais devient une chance là où les différents environnements sont mis en relations. Des passerelles adaptées entre les contextes scolaire et familial permettent à toutes les personnes impliquées d’apaiser les tensions et d’éviter l'escalade des conflits. Dans la seconde partie du présent article, l'auteur émet des recommandations concrètes pour le travail sur le terrain.
