Udea Guenée, 1845 Possibly the largest genus of Spilomelinae, Udea now includes 214 species described from around the World (Nuss et al., 2016). The fauna of the Western Hemisphere is made up of 52 species (Munroe, 1995), excluding the two described as new below. All Neotropical species of Udea were checked to determine the two Galápagos species as new.
