Abstract

Department of Chemistry, Jadavpur University, Kolkata-700 032, India E-mail : mallikak52@yahoo.co. in Manuscript received 5 May 2008, accepted 8 July 2008 On treatment with NaN3/c.H2SO4-HOAc, trans-3-benzylnavanones yield ring expansion products with alkyl migration and having either cis or both cis and trans configurations.
