Abstract

El bajo rendimiento acad��mico en los estudiantes, los h��bitos y t��cnicas que utilizan al momento de estudiar y sobre todo su nivel de aprendizaje en la asignatura de matem��tica es el principal motivo que incentiv�� a realizar este estudio. El prop��sito general de este art��culo es analizar la relaci��n existente entre los h��bitos y t��cnicas de estudio con el rendimiento acad��mico en la asignatura de Matem��tica de los estudiantes de Educaci��n B��sica Superior de la Unidad Educativa Particular San Gerardo. Se enmarc�� en una metodolog��a cuantitativa, de tipo descriptivo, con un dise��o de investigaci��n no experimental transeccional correlacional. La poblaci��n fue de 310 estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Particular San Gerardo y la muestra fue de 150 estudiantes cursantes del octavo al d��cimo a��o. El instrumento que se aplic�� fue el Cuestionario de H��bitos y T��cnicas de estudio (CHTE), constituido por 56 preguntas dicot��micas subdivididas en 7 escalas. Entre los resultados principales se destac�� que los estudiantes utilizan de forma aceptable los h��bitos y t��cnicas de estudio y que su rendimiento en la materia es satisfactorio. Se concluy�� que las variables H��bitos y T��cnicas de estudio y Rendimiento Acad��mico mantienen una relaci��n positiva y directa.
