Abstract

Antecedentes: Los cambios econ��micos ocurridos en Cuba a partir del periodo especial (1991-2000), condujeron a la adopci��n de medidas encaminadas a amortiguar las carencias en la ganader��a. Objetivo. Evaluar el impacto de los cambios organizacionales y estructurales ocurridos en la agricultura cubana en el per��odo del 1982 al 2017, en la eficiencia reproductiva de sistemas vacunos en inseminaci��n artificial. Materiales y m��todos: Se seleccionaron los datos anuales (enero de 1982-diciembre de 2017) del ��ndice de natalidad (IN) de seis empresas pecuarias de la provincia de Camag��ey. La evaluaci��n de los impactos de la intervenci��n se realiz�� mediante an��lisis de regresi��n por el m��todo de Newey-West. Resultados: Se observ�� una tendencia decreciente del IN a lo largo de todo el periodo, con dos etapas definidas por una interrupci��n en 1994. Al a��o siguiente, se produjo un incremento no significativo para posteriormente mantener una tendencia decreciente, con por una disminuci��n significativa anual de 0,51%. Se confirm�� un crecimiento significativo en la tendencia anual del 0,93% en el IN en relaci��n con la tendencia pre intervenci��n. Conclusiones: Los cambios organizacionales ocurridos en la agricultura cubana impactaron en la eficiencia reproductiva, expresada por el IN. La ausencia de correspondencia entre el punto de intervenci��n de la serie con el momento exacto de la aplicaci��n de las medidas corrobora que los efectos en la reproducci��n se manifiestan a largo plazo, pues existen interrelaciones entre las variables que se presentan con retardos en el tiempo y en la pr��ctica no siempre se observan los resultados esperados en el momento previsto.
