Abstract

Para garantizar que el sector turístico mantenga y desarrolle la calidad, sostenibilidad y competitividad, es necesario apoyar el desarrollo del turismo accesible. Mientras más personas viajen, el sector consigue más visitantes, temporadas más largas y nuevos ingresos. Esto supone un cambio decisivo para los destinos, ayudándoles a recuperarse de la crisis y a crecer de nuevo de una forma más inclusiva y resiliente. La investigación tiene como objetivo general: Proponer la implementación de un plan de acciones en las instalaciones turísticas, y el diseño de productos, que eliminen las barreras para personas con discapacidades en la ciudad de Camagüey. En la misma se definen términos relacionados con el tema, se analiza el desarrollo actual del turismo accesible para todos a nivel global, en Cuba y Camagüey, para proponer una serie de transformaciones que contribuyan a una mayor inclusión. El estudio teórico está dirigido al segmento de personas con discapacidades y se sustenta mediante el empleo de la técnica de revisión bibliográfica y el método analítico-sintético. Se utiliza el Benchmarking como técnica empresarial para tener referencias de productos y procedimientos adaptables al territorio. Como resultado se sugiere una oferta más variada en las instalaciones de la provincia, donde sin llevar a cabo cambios radicales, se pueden modificar elementos de infraestructura y productos turísticos para captar al segmento y contribuir a la calidad de vida del mismo, así como el alcance de mayores beneficios en la actividad turística; por lo cual se llega a la conclusión de que su aplicación es factible.
