Notes. – Il n’y a aucune différence notable entre les syntypes de E. erythroxyloides et de E. mangorensis. Les seules différences notées dans la description de E. mangorensis sont la taille et la forme des feuilles, différences que l’on ne retrouve pas vraiment dans les syntypes des deux espèces. Les habitats des deux espèces sont les mêmes, leurs localités type ne sont séparées que par une distance de 25 km et enfin une visite in situ nous montre des plantes strictement identiques dans les forêts d’Analamazaotra (Andasibe) et dans celles bordant la rivière Mangoro.
