Family Cyzicidae Stebbing, 1910 Genus Cyzicus Audouin, 1837. A single species was seen in this study from two localities and in few numbers. Padhye et al. (2011b) reported finding Caenestheriella from the above mentioned localities, basing their identification on the works of Nayar & Nair (1968) and Battish (1981). We now shift this species to genus Cyzicus and present a detailed description of the females of this species for the first time from Western Ghats (males were not seen in the collections).
