Multiculturalidad y modelos económicos en América Latina

Abstract

El artículo tiene por objetivo analizar los modelos económicos aplicados a través de la historia en Latinoamérica, haciendo hincapié en el desarrollo del modelo neoliberal, entendido como la preferencia por los mercados sobre las normas culturales; trayendo a colación la sustitución de la razón social por una economía abundante en capital y riquezas acumuladas en un sector de la población. Garantizando así, la conversión de los derechos sociales en servicios mercantiles, donde su principal finalidad es la búsqueda de equilibrios macroeconómicos a costa de la marginalidad, discriminación y vulneración a derechos de poblaciones que representan la multiculturalidad en la región. Por ello, la necesidad de búsqueda del equilibrio enfocado en la salvaguarda individual y colectiva en cara al abuso y arbitrariedad capitalista. La presente investigación asume una postura teórica-filosófica, empero, reconoce la confluencia en el impacto político, cultural y ecológica. Escenarios que han concentrado problemáticas que desembocan en la destrucción de la diversidad de pueblos en la región, trastocando el valor y la dignidad humana al perseguir una cultura dominante, la asimilación de otras vulnerables a través de la imposición de saberes, creencias y modos de vida distintas a las suyas. Por esta razón, se reconoce la importancia de un modelo económico reorientado a la compresión multidimensional de su repercusión en el entorno, creando una convivencia horizontal con las culturas relegadas y marginadas en la sociedad.
