Die Sektion ermöglicht die inhaltliche disziplinübergreifende Zusammenarbeit der Konsortien im Bereich ethischer, sozialer und rechtlicher Aspekte des Forschungsdatenmanagements und der Nachnutzung von Forschungsdaten und bereitet Vorschläge für konsortienübergreifende Leitlinien und rechtliche Standards vor. Vereint werden sowohl ethische als auch rechtliche Aspekte im Umgang mit Forschungsdaten (zum Auftakt mit den Schwerpunkten Datenschutzrecht und Immaterialgüterrecht).
