El desarrollo del pensamiento crítico: Un reto para la educación ecuatoriana

Abstract

El pensamiento crítico es considerado una falencia dentro del sistema educativo ecuatoriano. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar los factores que podrían estar incidiendo en el escaso desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en los estudiantes ecuatorianos. A partir de un estudio cualitativo se consultó la opinión de cinco docentes de excelencia ecuatorianos, quienes, a partir de una entrevista en profundidad, narran qué hacen en sus aulas para desarrollar el pensamiento crítico en sus alumnos. Se concluye que la rigidez de las estructuras administrativas escolares dificulta el trabajo interdisciplinario y que existen pocos profesores capacitados para ello.
