Diseño Tecnopedagógico con el uso de WhatsApp para estudiantes universitarios en tiempos de pandemia

Abstract

El presente trabajo se genera en el contexto del Plan Académico de Contingencia de la Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela, para dar cumplimiento a la prosecución en el periodo académico 2020-1, por la suspensión de clases mediante el decreto de Estado de Alarma en todo el territorio nacional, para la preservación de la salud debido a la pandemia generada por el COVID-19. El propósito de la investigación es presentar un Diseño Tecnopedagógico con el uso de WhatsApp, para el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de estudiantes en la unidad curricular Ciclos Biogeoquímicos del Programa de Formación de Grado Gestión Ambiental de la Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela, sede Caracas. Es una investigación cualitativa, con estudio de campo, bajo el enfoque de Investigación-Acción. Los hallazgos constatan que la utilización de WhatsApp, como una herramienta para el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje en entornos no presenciales, fortalece la interacción social entre estudiantes y docente. La razón por la cual se adoptó la aplicación WhatsApp como principal canal de comunicación, para la implementación del Diseño Tecnopedagógico, en lugar de alternativas como el correo electrónico, fue por la aceptación por parte de los estudiantes. Las limitaciones de esta herramienta tecnológica están relacionadas con la conectividad de los estudiantes.
