Abstract

La Universidad Aut��noma Metropolitana (UAM), pese a incorporar tecnolog��as de la informaci��n y la comunicaci��n (TIC) en el proceso de ense��anza-aprendizaje, se mantiene a la zaga de otras instituciones de educaci��n superior (IES) en cuanto a incorporar modalidades de ense��anza-aprendizaje distintas a la presencial, pese contar con la normatividad necesaria para impartir docencia en diferentes modalidades educativas. Sin embargo, en el contexto actual de obligado confinamiento y al amparo de un programa emergente de educaci��n remota (PEER), las clases tuvieron que impartirse de manera remota (replicando la presencial), con un abanico de opciones acorde a las capacidades de los profesores y al que se acoplaban los estudiantes. De los resultados parciales del PEER, nos preguntamos: ��por qu��, si la normatividad lo permite, los docentes, en su gran mayor��a, no promueven modalidades distintas a la presencial (remota), y se han limitado solo a introducir TIC en apoyo a dicha modalidad?, de tal manera que se podr��a haber estado en mejores condiciones ante la irrupci��n de la pandemia de covid-19. De ah�� que el prop��sito de este trabajo, es presentar el lado normativo de la institucionalizaci��n que ha seguido la UAM y lo faltante: hacer una evaluaci��n de la actividad docente en el contexto actual y presentar l��neas generales de un proyecto institucional que permita a la universidad contar con diferentes modalidades de ense��anza-aprendizaje.
