Kinder mit zwei Stämmen Eine Orientierungshilfe für die psychomotorische Arbeit mit Kindern mit Migrationshintergrund und deren Eltern

Abstract

Mit den zunehmenden Migrationszahlen werden Psychomotoriktherapeuten und -therapeutinnen vermehrt mit Kindern mit Migrationshintergrund arbeiten. In der therapeutischen Arbeit mit diesen Kindern und ihren Eltern sind oft Unsicherheiten zu beobachten. Welche Schwierigkeiten bringen Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund mit in die Psychomotoriktherapie und wie zeigen sich diese? Wie können wir als Psychomotoriktherapeutinnen Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund adäquat unterstützen? Um diese Fragen zu beantworten, wurden Interviews mit Psychomotoriktherapeutinnen durchgeführt. Anhand einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse wurden die Daten ausgewertet. Es entstand eine Übersicht von Schwierigkeiten, die Kinder mit Migrationshintergrund mitbringen können. Daraus ergaben sich Möglichkeiten zur Unterstützung der Kinder in der Therapie und zentrale Gedankenanstösse zur Zusammenarbeit mit deren Eltern.
