Padrões de metadados utilizados em repositórios de objetos virtuais de aprendizagem

Abstract

Os repositórios de objetos de virtuais de aprendizagem são espaços informacionais digitais importantes no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, permitindo o armazenamento, acesso, uso e compartilhamento de recursos educacionais digitais, de forma gratuita. Neste contexto, é fundamental que os repositórios adotem padrões de metadados para facilitar o acesso aos recursos por partes dos professores e alunos, seus principais usuários. Diante deste contexto, o objetivo desta proposta, é verificar os padrões de metadados utilizados por um conjunto de Repositórios de Objetos Virtuais de Aprendizagem, para descrição dos recursos educacionais digitais neles disponibilizados. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e abordagem quantitativa. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria dos repositórios pesquisados não utilizam metadados de acordo com padrões recomendados e/ou aceitos internacionalmente. Conclui-se ser fundamental que os Repositórios de Objetos Virtuais de Aprendizagem, adotem padrões internacionais de metadados na descriçao dos recursos educacionais, no intituito de facilitar o acesso, uso e compartilhamento dos recursos que disponibilizam.
