Background: The null-hypothesis: human parvovirus B19 is not the cause of human thyroid cancer has been tested. Methods: To examine the possible role of parvovirus B19 infection in the aetiology of human thyroid cancer, a literature searched through the electronic database PubMed was performed. Data were accurately assessed and reanalysed by new statistical methods. Results: The meta-analysis results of this study provide evidence that a parvovirus B19 infection of thyroid tissues and human thyroid cancer are causal related. The null-hypothesis is rejected. Conclusion: The alternative hypothesis: human parvovirus B19 is the cause of human thyroid cancer is accepted (p Value right tailed (HGD)= 1,85004E-05).
26.10.2021: Unfortunately, my trial to reduce misprints has itself induced new misprints. Erratum: Preprint instead of PrOPRint et cetera.
