The aim of this study is to analyze how the young population has been affected in the labor market as a result of the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 in Spain. To do this, we reviewed official documents at the national level on the labor market situation through the technique of document analysis focusing on three moments: before, during and after the declaration of the state of alarm. The results show that unemployment has affected young people especially in the second quarter and that the group of young people who have been affected least by these circumstances have been those who have a post-secondary degree not higher with a professional orientation.
