To manage the complex translational medicine data landscape this identifier scheme is developed, which uniquely tags every study participant, each collected biospecimen, and its assay by SUBJECT_ID, SAMPLE_ID, and EXPERIMENT_ID respectively. This scheme enables the connection between the clinical data tagged with the SUBJECT_ID to the biospecimen and molecular data, tagged with SAMPLE_ID and EXPERIMENT_ID respectively.
