Terapia comunitaria integrativa ante la crisis sociosanitaria de la pandemia COVID-19: caso República Dominicana

Abstract

Ante la pandemia del COVID-19, se hizo evidente la inexistencia de políticas de atención primarias para salud mental. Lo que hizo necesario fomentar mecanismos de contención emocional colectiva, como la terapia comunitaria integrativa (TCI) realizadas de manera virtual. En este estudio se retoman los datos de 15 ruedas (TCI), con un total de 612 participantes. El objetivo general es: Develar los procesos asociados al desarrollo de la TCI ante la pandemia: caso República Dominicana. El método fue mixto, describiéndose datos estadísticos del perfil de los participantes, que fueron recolectados vía Google formularios, y realizando análisis por categorías de los diarios de campo del equipo investigador. La principal conclusión es que la TCI representa un espacio significativo para la resiliencia y empoderamiento de los participantes, quienes en su mayoría son mujeres. La mitad de ellos han asistido a terapia psicológica antes. Las emociones más expresadas en las ruedas vinculantes fueron, la tristeza y el miedo, asociadas al contagio y los procesos de duelo.
