Abstract

English Abstract:The study is devoted to the past of the Armenian catholic rural communities in Javakhq and their present problems including those connected with the history and spiritual and church spheres. The issues concerning the reasons of why the Armenians adopted the Catholicism, the processes of the formation of the communities, the policy of “Georgification” carried out in regard to the Armenian Catholics are covered in this article. The authors touch upon the relations between the followers of the Armenian Apostolic and Armenian Catholic Churches, legal status of the Armenian Catholic Church and other issues deriving from it.The research is based on the study of the available literature and field research. Armenian Abstract: Ուսումնասիրությունը նվիրված է Ջավախքի հայ կաթոլիկ գյուղական համայնքների անցյալին և ներկա խնդիրներին՝ ընդգրկելով պամության և հոգևոր-եկեղեցական ոլորտները։ Շոշափվում են հայերի կաթոլիկացման պատճառները, համայնքների ձևավորման գործընթացը, հայ կաթոլիկների նկատմամբ իրականացված վրացականացման քաղաքականությունը։ Անդրադարձ է կատարվում Հայ Առաքելական և Հայ Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցիների հետևորդների փոխհարաբերություններին, Հայ Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու իրավական կարգավիճակի և դրանից բխող այլ խնդիրներին։ Հետազոտությունը հիմնված է առկա գրականության ուսումնասիրության և դաշտային աշխատանքների արդյունքների վրա։
