Sixteen species of the genera Eurasimona, Inuromaesa, Myopites and Urophora mainly collected by means rearing from their host plants are recorded for the first time from Ulyanovsk Oblast of Russia; three additional species are found only in bordering areas of neighbouring Samara Oblast, from which the sites and host plants are also listed for certain species. A key to all species occurring in the studied area is provided. Data on the host plants of 18 of 19 species occurring here are given. New host plants are recorded for four species: Cirsium esculentum (Siev.) C. A. Mey for U. stylata Fabricius, Centaurea trichocephala Bieb. for U. jaceana Hering, Echinops meyeri (DC.) Iljin for U. pontica Hering and Jurinea cyanoides (L.) Reichenb for U. tenuis Becker.
