En la actual vida cotidiana, la tecnología digital cada vez toma mayor importancia como una válida herramienta de ayuda en nuestras actividades sin ser ajena a su aplicación en nuestra profesión. El advenimiento de la tecnología digital, ha cambiado positivamente la forma de examinar, diagnosticar, pronosticar y tratar a los pacientes en las distintas especialidades de la consulta odontológica como la endodoncia, ortodoncia, cirugía oral, medicina oral, e implantología además de la odontología restauradora.
