Repensar la Comunicación Científica: Ideas para iniciativas de Ciencia Ciudadana

Abstract

La participación ciudadana en la ciencia es una realidad. La gente participa como voluntaria en el proceso científico, normalmente en la recogida de datos, pero también en otras fases, como el análisis y la interpretación de los datos, la formulación de problemas científicos y la difusión de resultados. El objetivo fundamental de los proyectos de ciencia ciudadana es contribuir a la investigación científica, pero también al empoderamiento de la ciudadanía creando una colaboración estrecha entre el personal científico y su comunidad. También promueve la alfabetización científica y el pensamiento crítico, aumenta la confianza en la ciencia y contribuye a desmontar los bulos y las noticias falsas. Los #CitSciComm Labs constituyen la actividad central del proyecto NEWSERA, cuyo objetivo es estudiar el potencial de la ciencia ciudadana como herramienta para comunicar mejor la ciencia y la tecnología. En los #CitSciComm Labs, profesionales de la ciencia ciudadana intercambian ideas con representantes de la ciudadanía, mundo académico, responsables políticos, representantes del sector privado, periodistas de datos y profesionales de la comunicación científica para diseñar estrategias innovadoras de comunicación. Cada laboratorio se dirige a un público específico y cuenta con grupos locales en Italia, España y Portugal.
