Information Management in a Neurochemical Laboratory

Abstract

Der Markt für Labor-Informationsmanagementsysteme (LIMS) steht an einem Wendepunkt. Der Trend zu leicht bedienbaren webbasierten Lösungen ist unverkennbar. Dieser Artikel beschreibt eine modulare, komplett webbasierte Lösung für ein forschungsorientiertes neurochemisches Labor. Die Software ermöglicht es, die Erstellung von aussagekräftigen Laborbefunden, einen der aufwendigsten Schritte im therapeutischen Drug Monitoring (TDM), teilweise zu automatisieren. The market for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) reaches a turning point. A trend to easy-to-use web based solutions is highly visible. This article describes a modular and completely web based solution, specially developed for a research oriented neurochemical lab. The software product semi-automatises one of the most time-consuming steps in Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM), which is the creation of meaningful lab reports.
